Competition Date: Friday, April 4, 2014 Competition Location: Save Mart Center Captain's Meeting: Thursday, April 3, 2014 on Fresno State Campus ** See details page below for more information. ** The ASCE Mid-Pacific Student Water Treatment Competition is an annual competition among ASCE student university chapters from California, China, and Canada. The competition is held at a host University on an annual rotation, as part of the ASCE Mid-Pacific Annual Student Conference. The 2014 conference will be hosted in Fresno, California by California State University, Fresno on April 3rd-5th. The competition is co-sponsored by the University of the Pacific. The Water Treatment competition objectives are to provide civil & environmental engineering students an opportunity to increase leadership and project management skills and to increase awareness of technologies and opportunities in the water/wastewater fields by way of engaging with other students, faculty, and industry professionals on a practical design project. The competition includes designing, constructing, testing, and presenting a water treatment filtration system composed of only materials found at a hardware store or supplier. Presentation: Each team’s PowerPoint for the technical presentation is due March 28, 2014. This will allow us to test run each PowerPoint on the computers that will be used, and it should allow for a quicker transition between each presentation. Please email the PowerPoint to .
