After pouring the wastewater, within the free interaction time, is the student allowed to fix any components or layers such as initial screens or sand layer to prevent water build up?

Note: This is not to prevent the treatment design from falling or anything.

A: As long as this is during the two-minute free period, yes one of the two members participating in the water pouring may make adjustments as long as he/she is not directly touching the wastewater. So adjusting the sand layer is not permitted because the wastewater will already be interacting with the sand in the treatment system.
